Built in 1809 the Oneida is a 16 gun Brig. This 1/4 scale plank on frame kit has all the hull timbering laser cut. With just a few basic hand tools you can create a beautifully crafted classic plank on frame ship model. Included are a set of computer drafted, color coded plans, laser cut gun carriages and casted carronades, milled stock for deck clamps, wales and bulkward planking.

The Oneida hull size is 24 x 6 x 6. All the frame and deck pieces are laser cut. Deck beams and knees have notches laser cut for the ledges. Included in the timbering set are milled material for wales, deck clamps, inside and out side of the bulwarks and cap rails.

The nine sheets of plans have been developed in CAD based on the originals. Each laser cut piece is color coded and identified on the plans. The timbering set will produce an Admiralty style hull exposing the hull and deck framing. Sixteen cast carronades and one 32 pound long gun are provided in the kit. Drawings are also provided if you care to turn your own. The timbering sets are produced in our inventory of fine hard woods.

The history of the Oneida as well as the building of the prototype are provided on line for you to explore. These photos do not depict the contents of the Oneida package sent by the Lumber Yard. They have been enhanced at the discretion of the builder. The Lumberyard supplies all necessary wood, canon and carronades.  Items relating to masting and rigging are at the discretion of the builder.
